' waliyak Mangalya'
' Waliyak Mangalya' is a main point in Kandyan culture of Sri Lanka. It is held at the 'Vishnu Devalaya' in the 'Temple of the Tooth' in Kandy. It is held continuously for seven days after the Kandy 'Esala Perahera 'ends. Its purpose is to bless artists and officials. Not only that, it also blesses the general public.

Waliyakuma is held only once a year. You can only see this peaceful ritual in Kandy and it is not held in other villages. Here, you can see several special decorations as well as special rituals and dances. Meanwhile, we can see a 'Solosmagala','sivili walan' and 'gavaramala'.They can be shown through the following images.

Here, Kandyan dancers perform.They are called 'Yakkadessans'. Not only that, you can also see Kandyan drumming and theatrical performances.They are very beautiful . So, if you come to Kandy regarding such beautiful occasions and Sri Lankan culture, you too can see and experience it.
